Experienced Fabricator

We are looking for an experienced fabricator to work with our team in the business workshop. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabricating door and window profiles. They will also have a good eye for detail and be able to concentrate and work within a busy environment.

Skills and experience

  • Previous experience in fabricating doors and windows
  • Some window fabrication with aluminium (this is preferred but not necessary)
  • Training provided for the right candidate
  • Good eye for detail
  • Working within a busy environment
  • Reading and following technical drawings accurately
  • Experience in using machinery and hand tools safely
  • Excellent written, numeracy and verbal communication skills

Duties including but not exclusive to

  • Adhere to the company’s health & safety guidelines
  • Packing and unpacking parts and finished products
  • Ensures work meets standards of quality on time and in full

Personal requirements

  • Attention to detail, observing and analysing tasks through to completion
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly, organise and prioritise work
  • Takes pride in their work
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Enjoys working within a busy workshop environment
  • Willing to learn and expand their knowledge

Expectations

  • Position: Permanent
  • Hours: Full time 40 hours p/w Monday – Friday (with overtime available)
  • Salary Range: £19,000 to £28,000 (depending upon experience)

Stock Control And Warehouse Administrator

This is a great opportunity to be part of our continued growth and success. The role will focus on stock counting (perpetual inventory), associated investigations and on, warehouse product location management, Goods In/Goods Out procedures.

Responsibilities 

  • To ensure the highest level of stock control and accuracy
  • Perpetual Inventory (ongoing stock counts), and follow-up investigations.
  • Manage shelf labelling, locating missing stock and if essential making stock adjustments
  • Key area of focus: Goods in/Goods out, stock transfers to/from delivery destinations, returns to stock, warehouse stock movements and stock put away (placement).
  • Supporting end of line stock and stock write-offs
  • Location management and housekeeping
  • General admin and reporting

Skills & Experience / Person Specification

  • Some experience of stock control/counting although this is not essential, training will be given
  • Good level of numeracy skills – minimum C grade (GCSE)
  • A good communicator who adapts to and promotes change
  • Ability to communicate well both in writing and orally with stakeholders at all levels
  • Basic – intermediate knowledge of MS Excel
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Proven ability to prioritise under pressure and to meet agreed to deadlines

Trainee Fabricator

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and hard-working Trainee Aluminium Fabricator to assist work within a team in our business unit. Fabricating experience is necessary but further training will be given.

Skills and experience

  • Preparing parts as instructed
  • Good practice of using tools and measuring
  • Excellent written, numeracy and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to organise, and prioritise work

Duties including but not exclusive to

  • Assist fabricating aluminium and uPVC profiles
  • Adhere to the company’s health & safety guidelines
  • Packing and unpacking parts and finished products

Personal requirements

  • Attention to detail, observing and analysing tasks through to completion
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly
  • Takes pride in their work
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Enjoys working within a busy workshop environment
  • Team-player with a ‘can do’ attitude, just as important as having the right skills

  • Further relevant training will be given to the successful applicant.
