One of the most common handling and lifting challenges with heavy glazing is how to transport it safely without causing any damage to the glass, property or personal injury.

While we can normally carry smaller profiles and glazing for a majority of our bifold doors and windows. It is fair to say that the interest for larger glazing, style and, design for architectural clean sightlines is very much on the rise for our customers.

With the potential for damage, fitter safety and delay to the installation Bedford Bi-folds invested in the HIRD Winlet 575 Glazing Robot during 2021. This has not only sped up installation but ensured disruption is minimised. Above all, it has ensured our expert fitters can go about their work safely without handling heavy glazing, reducing incidents and injury.
