One of the most common handling and lifting challenges with heavy glazing is how to transport it safely without causing any damage to the glass, property or personal injury.

While we can normally carry smaller profiles and glazing for a majority of our bifold doors and windows. It is fair to say that the interest for larger glazing, style and, design for architectural clean sightlines is very much on the rise for our customers.

With the potential for damage, fitter safety and delay to the installation Bedford Bi-folds invested in the HIRD Winlet 575 Glazing Robot during 2021. This has not only sped up installation but ensured disruption is minimised. Above all, it has ensured our expert fitters can go about their work safely without handling heavy glazing, reducing incidents and injury.

Twin wheels make light work of traveling across rough terrain and grass leaving no heavy tyre tread marks behind.

Capacity to lift up to 575kg

Minimum width of the robot 890 mm. This means it will fit through most standard internal doors.

Light Work Of Heavy Glazing

Heavy tread tyres make light work of rough terrain and minimum 890mm width to gain access through internal doorways, has proven to be an almighty addition to the fitter team. When jobs requiring larger panels, such as our sliding doors by brands Reynaers and Cortizo are requested, we are well prepared to supply and install. Knowing we can safely access, without disruption and damage has made all our jobs so much quicker and easier.
